Ms. Smith’s 6th grade English classes paid homage to the Greek gods and goddesses of Rick Riordan’s The Lightning Thief recently. Dressing in costume and taking on the persona of a god or goddess, each student shared information about his or her family, special talents, skills, and traits. Each student applied the characteristics of his or her deity while simultaneously exercising individual creativity!
